PROCESS

A project should be structured to ensure you’re getting what you envision. That’s why we follow the architectural stages and recommendations by the Architects Registration Board of Victoria (ARBV) and the Australian Institute of Architects (AIA).
When followed attentively – it ensures a streamlined and clear process.

Our architectural design process involves the below stages, in our synopsis:

Project initiation | Concept Design (CD)
​
We write a project brief with you to define its scope. We identify a solution for your needs and explore opportunities you may not have considered. Effectively addressing your design need with budget in mind. The ending result: a mutual acknowledgment of which sole design direction we pursue and develop for your project.

Design Development (DD)
​
We have a design direction we all love. This single design is refined and tested and embellish in all the detail. All with the input of specialist design consultants and structural consultant, where required.
With budget preliminary cost input [we crunch the numbers] and a nod from the local authority and town planner in check, we’re ready to put together a planning application or development application. Everything slots into place.

Construction Documentation (CD)
​
The design we love is cemented into contract documents. We prepare drawings, schedules and suitable documents to inform a construction cost from a builder that is firm. This pack then subsequently forms working documents required for a building permit. Suitable for construction.
​
Contract Administration (CA)
​
Construction commences. If there’s a query, site issue or doubt, we’re here to resolve it. Transparent and proactive. We are the combined calm and rigour you need by your side. We keep your project ball rolling exactly the way we’ve planned. A built journey through to practical completion – your much anticipated handover to you of your new place or space.
